MECHANICS

As a technical or industrial activity, mechanics is a set of methods and technologies related to the design of structures, machines or mechanisms. These activities include the research, design, manufacture, maintenance and deconstruction of any structure or apparatus (engines, vehicles, etc.) that produces or transmits movement, force or deformation. These activities are referred to as mechanical engineering, automotive mechanics, marine mechanics, etc.

At Moscatelli we specialise in industrial mechanics, i.e. the construction and maintenance of industrial equipment. This is a field in its own right, which differs from the other branches of mechanics and has a variety of fields of action :

DETECTING ANOMALIES IN INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURES:

First of all, mechanics who specialise in industrial mechanics constantly use their understanding of equipment and their great capacity for observation to discover the cause of problems. For example, after listening to the vibration of a structure, the industrial machinery technician must determine whether it is due to wearing of the gears, weak motor bearings or any other reason. Usually, it takes years of training and experience to diagnose all anomalies. Computer diagnostic systems are also used to help understand the root cause of various problems.

REPAIRING INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT:

Once the root cause of the problem has been determined, technicians can disassemble the structure or machine in order to repair it and replace defective parts. As a result, a great deal of expertise in the industrial and metal trades is required to properly repair equipment. For example, machining or milling mechanical parts are techniques used by industrial mechanics.
In addition, the loss of earnings created by a broken industrial machine requires reliable skills to solve the problem as quickly as possible.

INSTALLING INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT:

It is rare for industrial equipment to arrive in one piece in a factory. This is because industrial machinery is often made up of different individual parts and must therefore be assembled. This aspect is also handled by industrial mechanics. As a result, increased knowledge on how to assemble a structure but also on the different measuring tools is necessary in order to test the conformity of each assembled piece of equipment.

At Moscatelli, our skills in industrial mechanics are at your disposal. Whether it is a question of maintenance, installation, assembly or dismantling, our technicians will put their precision and expertise to work.
